Has anyone noticed Icy Lodestones are dropping a lot better since they added nic?
I been in pre on and off for nearly 4 years and never have I had this kind of drop rate.
Did they tweak it?

Prepare your Spider Legs and Worn Belts as Nicholas might soon want them. :-)
Also, during events Nicholas could take event items like Candy Cane Shards to give them a reason to drop in Pre-Searing.
Think about it.

I was going to go look at the guy, but then... I couldn't think of a character name, so I didn't.
Epic story, I know.

I think they did I have been getting good drops for everything even red iris flowers, however the gg skulls and grawl necklaces are the hardest thing to come by so far. I thought Dull Carpaces would be until I remembered the cave.
I'm going to have to buy a second account just to empty my storage. I've started gathering up every collectable in pre, as well as having dye, weapons and other junk like extra char bags I can't seem to part with.
I've got 26 flowers just incase as well.
This has to be the best thing to come along for a pack rat like me, I'm loving it.
I resisted the urge to by a second account for zkeys but this just might push me over the edge.

I wonder, do you pre item farmers keep certain quests open to get more mobs?
For example, Plague Worms have different spawn pattern and different behavior (more farm friendly one) before quest "The Worm Problem" is finished.

Since my permapre hasn't gotten close to lvl 20 I have only done the skill quest for my primary and all the secondary ones as well, just haven’t taken the reward for most of them, so kind of yes.

That is a great idea about the event quests
as to any quests to keep open well most of the people in pre going for high lvl toons never ever accept the quests till about lv 17 or 18 (I can't remember) but its on the wiki.
So all up save anything that stacks in pre cause it looks like he will eventually take them
maybe even wood planks , iron ingots , bones , char carvings from over the wall and such ?
Who knows lol
Thanks anet more to do in pre these days than just chat.

Let me think as far as collectables go:
GG skulls
Dull Carapaces
Char carvings
Icy Loadstones
Enchanted Loadstones
Grawl Necklaces
Worn Belts
Spider Legs
Unnatural Seeds
Skeletal limbs
Baked Husk
Skale Fins
There are also spider webs, red iris flowers and Char hides which are not collectables but stack.
Then there are all the common materials bone, wood, leather, iron, and dust.
As well as dye.
I kind of think he will only be collecting collectables, but he is labeled a trophy hunter so, who knows what this nutty guy is going to want next???

Ah great, was afraid we were going to be able to predict the stuff he needs. Like, 'o, tomorrow is Spider Leg day, and the day after that Icy Lodestone day'.

I like the idea of this addition. but with the higher supply of sweets/alcohol/party points there prices will decrease in price

Having trouble finding the daily quota of flowers --- but have gotten at least a half dozen dye drops so far, so ain't complainin' about few flowers!
I really do think that I have a better/higher chance of finding a black or white dye at this point than the remaining flowers I need for today's gifts. Since I typed the above (after less than an hour ingame), I've gotten four more dyes. Not complaining - I'm a dye hound who loves pretty colored armors.

Managed 10 flowers in two hours of searching this am.
I was hoping that they would not include these and / or the charr carvings as drop rates are so low south of the wall.

Charr carvings would definitely ramp up risk for anyone trying to go for Survivor. The drop on those south of the Wall is nil.
Ended up with 11 dyes before the 25th flower. I'm pretty sure the game realized it was a lot more economical to give me the cursed blossoms rather than more dyes .

Go immidiately North after exiting Ashford Abbey, for an Iris spawn at the field with the Wurms. If that one didn't spawn, follow the path to the South to Wizard's Folly. There's a spawn along that road.
Rinse and repeat.

Red Iris Flowers are easily farmed this way.
Start at Ashford Abbey. Go out. Turn right. Follow the road going to the Wizards Folly area. You usually don't have to go very far to get a (one) flower. Always look left and right to spot the (one) flower there. If no flower appears untll you reach the "Welcome to Ashford" sign at the end of that road, turn left and head for Farmer Dirk or Humphreys (collector). There should be one around that area. If none found, tough luck. In any case, /resing and repeat.
I got all my flowers that way
Edit : damn, I just saw that someone else pointed out exactly that, including a map.
